SkipSpace – Mobile App Design & Development
I led the end-to-end design and development of SkipSpace, a React Native mobile app built to support local authorities in tackling illegal waste disposal across boroughs. The app offers a smart, community-driven alternative to fly-tipping by allowing residents to register, book, and access approved waste disposal sites using a digital voucher system.
The design phase began with user research and wire-framing, focusing on a simple, accessible experience for a broad user base. I designed intuitive UI flows to guide users through key actions such as borough selection, site booking, and voucher confirmation. Branding and visual language were created to feel trustworthy, civic, and clear.
On the development side, I implemented features including secure user registration, borough-based filtering, site selection logic, and real-time voucher generation using React Native. The app ensures a seamless experience from booking to on-site access, integrating with SkipSpace Security for verification at disposal sites.
The result is a scalable, user-friendly platform that empowers councils and communities to reduce waste crime through responsible access and digital innovation.

Borough Selection: Users can select their local authority area to view and book from site locations available in their borough.
Site Booking System: Intuitive interface to browse, select, and confirm access to official waste disposal sites.
Digital Voucher Generation: Upon confirmation, users receive a time-stamped digital voucher containing encrypted booking data for site access.
Booking Summary & Review: Clear confirmation screens allow users to review their details before finalising the booking.
